I enjoy working at Yokly because they helped me find a client that I feel like the best fit for my skills. I stumbled upon Yokly from my internet searches for permanent work-from-home job opportunities. Because of my family’s situation, I needed to look for a job and build a career in this set-up. And, Yokly presented an opportunity for me to help with my family financially and grow myself as an individual.

Even though I don’t have work experience and the only thing I had was courage and perseverance, I braved myself to take the hiring process of Yokly and their 20-day training. With that training, Yokly gave me a jumpstart to start my VA career. Yokly is always there to guide and support us VAs. With the support of the internal team, I’ve always felt that I am not alone in this journey.

Now, I am currently working for kind and purposeful clients. I felt blessed to be working for such focused and goal-driven people. I am still learning every day from my tasks and from the knowledge the client has generously imparted to me. There are still a lot of things for me to learn and experience to become the best VA I can be. But, I know with perseverance, patients, and hunger for knowledge, I can slowly make my way there.

I admit that I had my doubts when I was still starting off at Yokly's Bootcamp. I was inexperienced in anything corporate and as usual, I had nobody to rely on but myself. Regardless, this was something that I needed to do. It was more than just about being responsible. I needed to be an adult.

And so I learned and kept learning about this company, this field of work, what I bring to the table, and how far I can go. It was hard to expect anything about what kind of tasks you'll be doing exactly, largely hinted at by the wide scope that our training entailed. And when it finally came to actual work, it felt like I had forgotten everything I learned. It's funny looking back at it now, but I do believe that it was a crucial step in my career. It was one thing to be prepared, and another to have guts.

Perhaps this is why all my clients so far have given me the freedom to make my own cards and play the best way I know how. It's been a rough start but I'm doing well. Despite all the things that happened in my life during this time, I turned out alright. I learned through all that hard work, mistakes, and difficulties, that doubts are there to let you know that you need to either keep going or reevaluate. I'm gonna learn some more, and even more the next time around.
